Maria is 11 years old. She is a 6th grader in Bellingham, Washington, USA. Her previous teachers include Katie O’Rourke, Rebecca Manalac and her mom, Milica Jelaca Jovanovic. She is currently studying with Judith Widrig.

Maria has won the Bellingham Chapter Conference Recital Competition twice, including this year.

She has also received recognitions at festivals and competitions, including Gold Seal medals at Seattle Young Artist Festival and Gold medal at Seattle Bach Festival, in 2019. She has played in masterclasses for numerous artists, including George Li, Golda Tatz, Roberto Plano, Christopher Hahn and David Hyun Kim.

Maria enjoys playing chamber music, and has also performed concerts in Bellingham, Lynden, Seattle and Vancouver (USA), as well as in Belgrade and Zemun (Serbia), and Constanta (Romania).

Her favorite hobbies are reading, writing, and playing sports. She also speaks three languages. Maria has two younger sisters, Ema and Ana, who also play piano.
