Mathilda Christen was born in 2011 in Marburg. She showed her interest in music and sports in early years and received her first piano lesson in 2015 by Mrs. Yasuko Mizushima. In 2019 she won a first price (laureate) in the “20. Mendelssohn-Wettbewerb FrankfurtRheinMain” and a second price in the “Henle-Klavierwettbewerb 2019”.
Besides piano, she has shortly started to play the violin. She likes to swim, do gymnastics, play in the chess club, and, of course, fool around with her friends. Mathilda speaks both German and Mandarin and a little English.
