Maria-Louisa van Staden was born in Bucharest, in 26th of November 2007. She studied at the National College of Arts Dinu Lipatti, Bucharest, piano with Professor Dr Alina Balaban.

Maria-Louisa obtained numerous prizes in national and international piano competitions, 1st Prize (2016) and 3rd Prize (2017) at Feurich International Competition for Piano, Vienna, 1st Prizes at International Music Competitions Grand Prize Virtuoso in London (2016), Vienna (2016), Salzburg (2017), Rome (2017), and Brussels (2018). She obtained a Honorable Mention at Rosario Marciano Competition, Vienna (2016).

To date, Maria-Louisa performed in prestigious concert halls, at Royal Albert Hall in London, in Vienna (Kaisersaal, Musikverein, Billrothhaus, and Ehrbar Saal), in Salzburg at Wiener Saal Mozarteum, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Brussels (The Centre For Fine Arts) Sinaia Royal Palace in Romania, and Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Amsterdam (Festival - Klassiek op het Amstelveld 2018) and in Bucharest at Ateneul Roman.
