Floris (10) and Michael (10) met during the 2017 edition of the Stage4Kids festival where they both played solo and have taken the challenge to play the duet “Baroque Variations” (world premiere) composed by Alexander Yashkin Daszkiewicz (13) despite being located in different countries.

Michael started to play the piano in 2013 and is a student of Borislav Alexandrov in Nicosia. Floris has been studying violin with Dana Anka, primaria of the Nathan Quartett since May 2012. He is a proud member of the first violin section of the Elbphilharmonie Family Orchestra in Hamburg.

Both have been awarded prizes in international competitions and have performed as soloists on international stages. Baroque Variations will be Floris’ 3rd world premiere within two years of which two were performed during the Klassiek op het Amstelveld Festival in Amsterdam. Michael appeared in the same festival as a soloist and has recently taken part in a master class with Elisaveta Blumina during the Cultural Cross Roads project.
