Jannik Keoki Evanoff is a multifaceted young man making beautiful music in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Born in 2008 on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, Jannik started violin instruction with Mrs. Helen Sina at the age of 3. By 5 years old, he began studying piano with Mrs. Virginia Shepherd.

He drew accolades at semi-annual performances and gained experience in annual American Piano Guild Society auditions, where he received top ratings. After two years, Jannik earned the chance to audition for Ms. Monica Chung.

Also at the age of 7, Jannik joined the Kauai Community College Orchestra, 2nd violin, under the baton of Maestro Sarah Tochiki.

Working with Mrs. Sina and Ms. Chung, who is also a performing pianist, Jannik completed an ambitious project in live and recorded form last spring. On piano, he accompanied a violinist playing a piece by F. Seitz, Concerto No. 2 in G Major, Op. 13, 3rd Movement, and performed another F. Seitz piece, Concerto No. 5 in D Major, Op. 22, 1st Movement, on violin to his own recorded piano accompaniment.

An inspired musician, Jannik loves sharing his gift with residents of Regency Pua Kea Senior Center. He is also passionate about completing 1,500+ piece puzzles in record time, devouring books in German and English, and spending time at Kauaiís Bandwagon Music Center.
