Duo Zvanika was founded in 2015. Its first participation was on the ІV. National Competition „Way to win“ 2016, in Sofia, where the duo won the 1st prize. They have prizes from the VІІІ National folk competition “Songs from North-West” 2016, (second prize), first prize on the X International folk competition „Pautalia“ 2016.

 

The duo members are Aleksandra Grebenarova and Maria-Magdalena Rizova.

 

Aleksandra Grebenarova was born on 9 of April 2004. When she was 4, she started to sing in the Children Band “Smehorancheta”. In the period 2009–2014 she sang in that band with the director Mrs. Galia Kodgemanova. In 2013 Aleksandra started to sing folk music. Her director in that time was Mrs. Raya Kovacheva. In 2015 Aleksandra participated in the ХІ National competition “Orfeeva darba” and received an encouragement award.

 

She sings in the band of “Gotce Delchev” ensemble in Sofia, which was founded 70 years ago. Aleksandra won third award in the Junior competition of arts, Sofia, 2015.

 

From 2015 Aleksandra Grebenarova is a student at the National School of Music “Lubomir Pipkov“ (Sofia, Bulgaria) in Velichka Chausheva’s class. After that she won many prizes  – encoura-gement award on the VІІІ National folk competition “Songs from North-West” 2016, prize of X International folk competition „Pautalia“ 2016, second prize on the National Competition “Pilentce Pee” 2016, Sofia.

       

Maria-Magdalena Rizova was born on 28 October 2004. When she was 7 years old, started studying Piano at the National School of Music “Lubomir Pipkov” (Sofia, Bulgaria). 11 years old, she started studying Folk Singing in Velichka Chausheva's class. In April 2016 Maria-Magdalena won third prize on the VІІІ National folk competition “Songs from North-West” 2016 and second prize on Х International folk competition “Pautalia” 2016.
